Snapchat Trends- a new market research tool
As you can see here, the new Snapchat Trends tool enables marketers to research specific keywords and terms based on their relative popularity in the app and get an idea of such changes over time. How can there be discussion?

“Snapchat Trends highlights the most popular keywords shared with the Snapchat community through Public Stories and My Stories, which are viewed by a large group in addition to a searchable database of words. With these insights, Snap is able to provide a whole new level of organic chatter visibility on Snapchat, see what our community is talking about, and display popular snapshots that exemplify each trending topic. ”
So, Google Trends, but snap-specific. It’s like Pinterest Trends, which uses a similar UI to facilitate research using keywords in pins.

There are several elements involved in the Snapchat trend. First, there are keyword search options, which automatically fill in the search terms based on the text you entered in the original field. You can select multiple words to see the amount of comparative references over time, the graph displays one year worth of data.

Snapchat trend There are many ways to use this information and it can prove valuable in your marketing process. You can see your brand or your competitors, and how Snapchat responds to your product or campaign, which can tell your strategy and help you decide if you should invest more in Snap Marketing.
And Snap further notes that the tool may be useful for researching language trends (i.e. new words and how they are being used by Snapchatters), ranking behavior based on a certain amount of activity on a given date. Understanding (refers to the increase in ‘streaming’ on Fridays), and understanding when the number of discussions increases during seasonal events and holidays.
Snapchat Trends- a new market research tool Better Utilisation
With more data always better, and many brands looking for ways to connect with more engaged, more personal Snap viewers, it can be a valuable support platform to complement your strategy.
The only limitation is that it is not all snap data. As Snap notes, the insights are “universal stories and based on my stories that a larger group has seen.” Snap does not provide specific data about where these mentions occur or does not provide all data on Snaps shared with friends.
But still, the broad trend notes will be indicative enough for your plan, and like Pinterest Trends, it can be a great addition to your research efforts even if you only plan to use Snapchat for marketing also.
