Foods that helps to increase zinc in body

It has been well established and highly promoted in research literature and clinical use that antioxidants like zinc are good for human health. A new and exciting field of research has shown that antioxidants, especially zinc, are good not only for human health but also for diabetes.

For those of us who need recovery, zinc is the waste needed for many biological activities in the human body . Zinc plays an important role in more than 300 enzymes living in the body, containing about 2-2 grams of zinc overall. Zinc is found in organs, tissues, bones, muscles, fluids and cells. Muscles and bones are most frequent (90%) in the body, but are found in large quantities, especially in the prostate gland and semen .

Adults need zinc to maintain good health. Zinc is extremely important for the promotion of healthy hair, skin and nails and it is essential for the right sense of taste and smell. Zinc plays an integral role in immune function, protein synthesis, wound healing, DNA synthesis and cell division. Zinc is important for the metabolism of lipids, carbohydrates and proteins, as well as for the control of cell signal transduction and reduction. In men, zinc has been shown to protect the prostate gland from infection and enlargement, which has been linked as a risk of prostate cancer. In women, zinc helps to treat menstrual problems and reduce related symptoms. Zinc can protect against night blindness and prevent the development of cataract fungus. Children need zinc to grow, maintain a healthy body weight, fight diseases such as pneumonia, diarrhea and diabetes, and reduce the length of common colds

         *  What has zinc got to do with diabetes

What has zinc got to do with diabetes, you ask? First, it has been proven among our labs and others that most of the damage to the under organs caused by diabetes is due to oxidative stress. This leads to many common and well-known complications of diabetes, such as cardiomyopathy, nephropathy and neuropathy . This oxidative stress can induce induced organ damage and in some cases can even be counteracted by the inclusion of a powerful antioxidant called metallothionein. Metalothiuinin is a metallic binding protein that protects cells and tissues from oxidative-stress induced decay. Zinc seems to be a strong indicator of metals to help prevent the onset or progression of diabetes and diabetic complications.

Also, zinc has insulin-like effects on cells by promoting lipogenesis and promoting glucose transport. It suggests that zinc may stimulate tissues in these: increase insulin signals, use glucose, maintain normal lipid metabolism and maintain normal cellular function. Then why not take zinc supplement? Not only is zinc safe, it is also recommended for our body. Excess zinc is easily removed from the body through bowel movements or is removed from the blood by the pancreas or liver. Zinc has a low toxicity profile which makes it safe for children to use. To maintain a stable condition we need to take daily zinc daily for our body as there is no zinc storage system in the body. The recommended daily allowance for zinc is 8-10 mg per day, the correct dose depending on age and gender.

  • Effects in patients with zinc deficiency      Buy Now

Most of the patients with type 2 diabetes or pre Diabetic, prenatal and obese suffer from zinc deficiency or total zinc deficiency in the body. Hyperglycemia causes more urinary loss and a decrease in total zinc in the body than any primary lesion associated with diabetes. Zinc supplementation may be eligible as a potential therapeutic addition to insulin signaling and subsequent Euglycemia, especially in patients with zinc deficiency. We know that zinc deficiency prevents diabetic testicular and hepatic damage and zinc supplementation prevents the onset or progression of diabetic cardiomyopathy. We also recently showed in our lab that zinc supplementation prevents the development and progression of diabetic nephropathy.

  • Zinc Increase Plasma Levels

We know that diabetic patients are considered immunocompromised patients. In zinc treatment, plasma zinc levels change to normal values, as well as the body percentage of CD4-cells increases, implying that zinc supplementation may be effective in increasing immunity. In some recent animal studies and clinical trials, zinc supplementation has been shown to regulate glucose levels, improve lipid metabolism, maintain normal blood pressure, and act as an anti-inflammatory agent. To that end, zinc supplementation has been shown to create metabolic effects and trends towards improving liver function, hepatic encephalopathy, and nutritional status. While this may promise progress in the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, it is commonly associated with obesity and type-2 diabetes.

Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDAs) for Zinc

In conclusion, taking a zinc supplement can not only help children and adults lead healthier lives, but new research has shown that zinc can do the same for diabetic and prediabetic patients. Displays. I look forward to sharing my experience taking a Zinc supplement result as a Diabetic patient.
